The Ultimate Off-Grid Family Adventure Van

When a family of five approached us with their vision for the perfect travel van, they had a clear mission in mind: a vehicle that could take them anywhere, keep them connected, and feel like home no matter how far off the grid they ventured. Enter Artemis, a fully customised Mercedes Sprinter LWB van designed to balance adventure, technology, and comfort.

The Brief:

Designed for Family Travel

From the outset, this build was all about creating a spacious yet functional environment that could accommodate the whole family without compromising on luxury.

Comfortable Sleeping Arrangements – Featuring a pop-top roof with a double bed, a three-seater RIB seat that converts into a bed, and a double Murphy bed at the rear for added flexibility and space optimisation.
Fully Equipped Kitchen – Featuring 2 induction hobs which can be used indoor or out, large fridge-freezer, Ninja 8in1 oven, sink and microwave, this means mealtimes are effortless whilst off-grid.
Heated Shower & Drying Room – Instead of a traditional bathroom, Artemis includes a wet room with shower and Thetford toilet. This space also doubles as a heated drying room, perfect for wet gear after outdoor adventures.

A Cool, Calm interior

To complement the Blue Grey exterior of Artemis, a neutral colour palette was carefully chosen for the interior.

Soft earthy tones, natural wood accents, and warm greys create a calming atmosphere, making the space feel both modern and inviting. Selected textiles and finishes enhance the sense of openness, while the combination of light and dark contrasts adds depth and character. This seamless blend of colours and textures ensures that Artemis feels like home, allowing for the family to add their own pop of colour with soft furnishings.
